We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the Website means you accept the updated terms.
10. Payments, Credits, and Refunds
MapMaker.io offers optional paid products: a Premium subscription and one-time AI credit packs. AI features consume credits from your balance, and each generation immediately uses paid third-party AI computing resources on your behalf. Because those resources are spent the moment a generation runs, all purchases are final:
- All payments, including Premium subscriptions and credit packs, are non-refundable in whole or in part, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
- Credits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and have no cash value. Unused credits cannot be exchanged for money and are forfeited if your account is closed or terminated.
- You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, but no partial or pro-rated refunds are issued for the remaining time.
- We do not issue refunds because AI-generated results did not meet your expectations. AI output is inherently variable, and a generation that completes has already consumed the resources it paid for.
- If a generation fails because of a technical error on our side, the credit is automatically returned to your balance. This is a return of credits, not a monetary refund.
- Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute instead of contacting us first may result in suspension or termination of your account.
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, acting as merchant of record; their terms also apply to your purchase. We may change prices, credit pack sizes, or subscription credit allotments at any time. Changes take effect on your next renewal or purchase and do not apply retroactively.
Where you have a statutory right of withdrawal (for example, as a consumer in the EU or UK), you expressly request that we begin providing the digital content and credits immediately upon purchase and acknowledge that you lose that right of withdrawal once delivery has begun. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded under applicable law. We may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund in exceptional cases such as a duplicate charge or a verified billing error.
